Expedition 12 to International Space Station
Expedition 12 on the Way to International Space Station. The 12th crew of the international space station rocketed into space at 11:55 p.m. EDT, Friday to begin a six-month mission. A Soyuz spacecraft carried Expedition 12 Commander William McArthur and Flight Engineer Valery Tokarev into orbit. American businessman Gregory Olsen rode with them. Olsen is beginning a 10-day mission of scientific experiments as part of a commercial contract with the Russian Federal Space Agency. [Science Blog -]
