How did it get to be 1:30am?Scratch that. How did it get to be 2005? 2001 feels like yesterday. 1995 feels like a few years ago. Does it keep speeding up? Will I have so few memories of the next decade that it'll seem like it went by in a year? What happens next?I've been doing this LJ thing for almost 2.5 years now. I have close, close friends that I've never met and acquaintances I've meant to get to know better, and I've known them for longer than I spent in high school.I need to stop thinking about this stuff and go to sleep. Hopefully when I wake up, it won't be 2007.

Boing Boing: Yahoo! bought Flickr! Cory Doctorow says Yahoo just bought Flickr. What is going to happen to Flickr? Flickr will be continuing on the path it's on -- to Flickr 1.0 and beyond. We'll be working with a bunch of people that Totally Get Flickr and want to preserve the community and the flavor of what is here. We're going to grow and change, but we're in it for the long haul, with the same management and same team.

What IS it with me that I feel like I have to jump in at every opportunity and offer to help with anything and everything? Then I get overwhelmed and just... shut down. And I end up not doing what I said I would do and I feel guilty about it and it makes me feel even more overwhelmed. I've got three beta tests, a big shooting convention to plan for the fall, and a couple of other projects I'm working on, not to mention day to day life to deal with. Someone please stop me before I tell anyone else, "Hey, I can help with that!"...

This story in the Washington Post illustrates what I feel is wrong about journalism today. In describing Wolfowitz's difficulties in campaigning for the top World Bank job, it recalls two serious lapses in judgement by Wolfowitz: "It's hard to conceive that it would take more forces to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq than it would take to conduct the war itself,"; and "The oil revenue of that country could bring between 50 and 100 billion dollars over the course of the next two or three years. We're dealing with a country that could really finance its own reconstruction, and relatively...

Recently I started using Flickr as my offsite photo site. After using Textamerica and being disappointed and after having a few problems with Buzznet I decided to try Flickr. I love it, they store your originals in full quality on their server and allow you to create Flickr site badges.(Like the one in the left sidebar.) Flickr is so much more than a moblog site, but you can use it for that as well. If you have a digital camera, try it out. They offer a free account with a few limitations, I am upgrading to a pro account soon for unlimited storage.

As a child I loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My mom made them toasted. With no crust.Lots of peanut butter.Raspberry jam.And cut in into triangles.*Krista made them differently. With only a whisper of peanut butter and the vaguest hint of grape jelly. And she didn't cut them.I didn't mind.*I was nine, and I was in love.Krista moved at the end of that summer.I over heard my grandmother saying Krista was - white trash.*My grandmother has this convenient way of letting you over hear things.*It was then the I realized that it wasn't that Krista was some sort of nouvelle cuisine artiste. She had only been trying to make the peanut butter last.*They say the the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. In reality, if you've got the mans heart, what you serve won't matter.*Be Good.Love You.Bon Appétit.
