Today we went to get pictures taken at J.C. Penney's. The appointment was at 9:20 AM - the store didn't open until 10:00 AM. So we went to the door thinking, "Surely the wouldn't schedule us for an appointment earlier than the store was open." We were wrong. However, we were able to get in through the hair salon's door and then on into the studio. At the studio we sat for near...

Iraq War Justified
For all of the naysayers out there attacking President Bush's decision to topple the Hussein regime in Iraq, how do you respond to the news of the mass grave sites being uncovered? From what I've seen, President Bush and our brave soldiers have done the Iraqis and the world a favor.

Stuff!
So i spent a better part of a work shift programming in Qbasic. Well by programming I mean driving a remote control car around and telling my computer wize co-worker what ideas to add. It seemed to work out. By the end of our shift we had a rather cool bar game. Also Aha's take on me might drive you insane. If I post the game you will understand. Oh all this programming made me think. Do internet companies have IT departements. Like if the company is made up of programmers do they still create IT or do the programmers just fix things on the fly???

I just read an interesting article about computer illiteracy. I was surprised that they were talking about low-level stuff (meaning the command line and programming languages).

Plenty of open seats at The Matrix
Some movies would kill for a $45-50 million opening weekend. When the previous sequel took in $91.8 in its first Friday-Sunday, and boxofficeguru predicted $80 this time, studio execs have to be taking one hell of a crap. It made $16.7M on Friday. $45-50 million projected for the weekend. Then look for a steep decline.

Have been working on my project synopsis along with Krunal all day long; it seems to be shaping out quite well. I might put it online once I'm done.By the way, I have put up a Python implementation of the RSA algorithm; it's here. It's kinda messy and may be quite buggy too.

Goodnight Moon!
I was thinking I should have taken a good picture of the moon tonight, it all its eclipsed glory, but it's actually hard to photograph the moon, given that it's a light source (even in an eclipse) against dark everything. I don't have the right kind of camera or tripod setup to do that. So I'll just say I'd really pretty, and you'll have to fill in the blanks with the photos that will inevitably appear in the paper tomorrow. (I know *I* will be shocked if one of the 4 papers I regularly see on newsstands doesn't have one on above the fold.)I had something brilliant I was going to say here, but in between the time it took me to fire up the Blogger Pro page, create the post, and write the above paragraph, I lost it. So here are a few other things that I'll share with you while I try to remember.1. I didn't write a word of the novel today. I'm so mad at myself, because I actually stayed up last night and caught up to where my word count was supposed to be. And now I'm going to be 1666 ...

VRoots Changed
Since I went through a main server reinstall I also moved my sub-sites to new domain names. Lupus is now listening on http://lupus.request-response.com and my little playground page is located on http://playground.request-response.com. Redirects from http://www.request-response.com/lupus and http://www.request-response.com/playground are not available and will probably never be. If anyone has a permanent endpoint on RSS Query web service, she will know soon. ;)
