Ilana Mercer: Bush is a Neoconservative
The following commentary is fairly punchy, and it's definitely highly critical, and if it had come from a "left-wing" web site, I doubt I would feel inclined to post here. Long time visitors to PNAC.info are probably aware that we aim to post articles that are civil, reasoned and researched -- rather than angry, partisan, and "anti-Bush". So while most of the opinion articles here end up being, by the nature of the critical process,...

GhostWire Components Set 4
GhostWire Studios has released GhostWire Components Set 4, consisting of the DialogBox component and the Window component. The DialogBox component is a three-in-one component allowing you to create three types of dialog boxes - alertBox, ConfirmBox, and PromptBox. These dialog boxes are invoked using the methods alert(), confirm() and prompt() respectively, similar to javascript syntax. The Window component allows you to create windows similar to those in Windows OS. The content to be embedded in the windows can be set via the component's properties panel or set dynamically using the methods loadContent() or setContent(). If using loadContent, you will be loading an external file. The load progress will be reflected in the statusbar of the window. The setContent method allows you to embed content using an exported movieclip in your library. You can reference the embedded content using the method getContent(). The windows have built-in titlebars, caption buttons (minimize, maximize, ...

Some OneNote features I would like
Right click a word I just wrote and send it to Google. Record the time at which I'm writing down my notes and let me play back the sequence in which I wrote down my notes. In this case I don't want the audio I just want the chronology of my notes. Seems like it wouldn't be all that hard to do considering the functionality that is already in OneNote that is similiar to this. Full Screen mode when writing notes (ala VS.NET, Word, etc.). When I'm taking notes the bulk of the time I don't need all of the other toolbars and sidebars cluttering up the screen (especially on the limited screen real estate of the Tablet). Maybe just a small little toolbar that would float up near the top of the screen that let's me switch pens and highlighters but the rest of the screen should be all paper.

Amen
From Prayer of the Day: Spouses' Prayer Lord Jesus, grant that I and my spouse may have a true and understanding love for each other. Grant that we may both be filled with faith and trust. Give us the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. May we always bear with one another's weaknesses and grow from each other's strengths. help us to forgive one another's failings and grant us patience, kindness, cheerfulness and the spirit of placing the well-being of one another ahead of self. May the love that brought us together grow and mature with each passing year. Bring us both ever closer to You through our love for each other. Let our love grow to perfection.

It is so easy to slip back into a state of unawareness...to plod along from day to day until yestersday seems no different from today and tomorrow offers no reprieve from the sameness. I've been up since 4 am and for the first hour, I sat at my computer doing much the same as I did yesterday. But then my innerself cried out and said, 'hey stop neglecting me.' I answered the call as I usually do by turning to a book. In this case, I began to reread Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior. The passage I read was this: "A great deal of chaos in the world occurs because people don't appreciate themselves. Having never developed sympathy or gentleness towards themselves, they cannot experience harmony or peace within themselves, and therfore, what they project to others is also inharmonious and confused. Instead of appreciating our lives, we often take our existence for granted or we find it depressing and burdensome..." I know I often take my existence for granted...I assume there is ...

Test posting from gnome-blog
Previously, I was playing around with BloGTK. It's a nice tool, provided you have python installed. I did try gnome-blog but did not manage to get it to work at all. Anyway, all headaches are gone as gnome-blog is now an apt-get away for debian users, nice. One cool feature I like about gnome-blog is that it has specific support for pyblosxom. Let's hope this post actually goes through, then WYSIWYG blogging will just be a panel click away, from the convenience of my linux desktop.

WikiCluetrain ?
(...)I think you could do it easily if you want to. Wiki is 70% a social and only 30% a technical phenomenon, so to communication of the culture of cooperation is the only thing that really counts. I don't have any idea whether France is in front of the USA, Sweden, Korea or Germany or behind. It's really hard to tell. The French wikipedia is half a year behind the German, but that is only a rough indicator. Typically I would assume that the French are very communicative people and will advance very faster than others. What will they need? What special habits have formed or will form? What projects are needed and have the best chances to succeed? What do you think? -- HelmutLeitner The french wikipedia is half a year in terms of articles, but according to Alexa, it receive much more hits (this escapes me a bit I must admit). I personnally assume that my regularly trying to make some promotion help, as well as using some of the basics to please Google :-) I have been using a lot of ...

At CD and LP stage of The Coming Age of Personal Communcation Exchanges?
(SOURCE:Unbound Spiral- Stuart Henshall's Blog:)- Stuart nails it. Still early days for VOIP and P2P communication. QUOTE... Compared to music we've been on LP's, there are a number of CD's around getting fairly pervasive, while ripping Mp-3's is just about to begin. Wearable communications products look like nice to have and yet nothing I've seen even begins to suggests how they will harness social networks in new ways. Similarly "marketing" opportunities abound in this new connective world.UNQUOTE
