He's gone... just like that.
My grandparents flew in from Florida in mid-August because my grandfather was transferred to a nursing home/rehab facility 20 mins from our home. He was on a ventilator and tube fed (not life support), but, other than that, he was...

PDC - Summary
Well PDC has come and gone. I had hope to blog each day on each keynote / session that I attended, but there were too many sessions and too little time... ;-) What I like about PDC:1) I really enjoyed the Keynote speakers / sessions. They did a great job on product announcements and had some very cool demos! Plus I really enjoyed learning all the new techologies! The future looks bright! ;-) 2) I really enjoyed meeting with my fellow MVPs, INETA speakers, and Microsoft friends. It was good to finally meet “the person behind the name” (in MSN IM / Newsgroup posts) 3) The conference transportation was excellent. I always found a waiting bus to and from my hotel. The conference even provided buses to the LAX airport on the last day. 4) I enjoyed helping out with “Ask the Experts”. It was interesting to hear all the different kinds of questions folks had on their mind. I help out in both the ASP.NET and ADO.NET tables. What I did NOT like about PDC:1) The conference was way too ...

Extreme Pumpkins
Extreme Pumpkins Here is what Rick from near Rochester NY had to say about this masterpiece. I usually grow a few Atlantic Giant pumpkins every year and carve them up. Some of the giants have a recessive gene for *green* skin; those look particularly striking when carved. While the skin is green, the flesh is still normal orange color. Here's one 280 pounder that I carved last year... hope you enjoy it! I think it was pretty damn cool. This 200 lb carniverous pumpkin is a winner in the Extreme Pumpkins contest! Can it really be an update?
Yes... yes it can :)I have been unbelievably busy lately. I have no other excuse... This past weekend I tore apart my kitchen walls with the help of K, M, rixor, and T, and am now living in a mess of dust, disorganization, and dissarray! I can't stand a mess like this. I sit on the couch, and look at it and I am afraid to move. I want to clean, but there is no place to put anything. I cannot even cook anything because my Stove is unplugged and in the center of the kitchen, one wall is ... well, it is not really even a wall at this point... The other wall is half-done, and the other wall needs to be taken down. I will be so happy when it is done because Then I can do the dishes, and put everything *back* in the kitchen instead of inside my living-room, hallway, basement, bedroom, and wherever else there was room.I've been getting free HBO for the past few days, and for the next two months... So I've been watching a lot more TV than I usually do. But I have seen a few really cool ...
