Magnatune - Not Evil
Magnatune - Not Evil Magnatune streams much of their music (in shoutcast's non-proprietary streaming MP3 format no less), charge $5.00 for albums and split the profits 50/50 with their artists (who keep all rights). Sure, they don't have the marketing money to purchase commercial radio airplay, but who cares, corporate FM radio is awful anyway. We're a record label. But we're not evil, We call it "try before you buy." It's the shareware model applied to music. Listen to hundreds of MP3'd albums from our artists. Or try our genre-based radio stations. If you like what you hear, buy our music online for as little as $5 an album or license our music for commercial use. Artists get a full 50% of the purchase price. And unlike most record labels, our artists keep the rights to their music. Founded by musicians, for musicians. No major label connections. We are not evil.Their electronica and world beat channels are quite good. Their metal is very... metal.

psexec \\computer -u Administrator cmd
The above command launches an interactive command prompt on \\computer running as Administrator. Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell over at Sysinternals never fail to amaze me. If you haven't already, go grab Pstools now! Jason Posted @ 10/8/2003 2:18 PMWow...that's pretty wild..It's actually a local window executing a remote command prompt (or whatever). Very cool stuff! I didn't describe what it does very well - but yes, it is pretty wild! It will even copy the command you want to run onto the remote machine if nessesary (it doesn't have to be cmd). All without using telnet. Bonkers!

If Voting is good, Voting all the time must be better.
Arnold Schwarzenegger wins the California recall election. To loose quote the Daily Show's Steve Colbert, "lets have an election once a month, or better yet, just embed politicians with little electrodes that we can zap them with everytime they do something we disagree with."

Seeing 5 out of 10. Cool, very calm. Pretty good seeing, good moments. Quite transparent, Moon in the sky. Nice late summer evening. Bright area in northern Hellas seen well. Following side of bright area appears to extend outside and slightly south of Hellas. This area was bright in white and red (w25) light. It was not bright in blue (w47). No North Polar Cap. Very fine detail across the disk. 20-inch (TJ) stopped down to 17-inches.

Blot
One of the tricky things about this recall is trying to figure out what to drink in an attempt to forget the self-destructive idiocy of an apparent majority of the other people in this state. Not beer -- the teutonic irony would break the Germanic side of my fragile heart. Hard liquor maybe, but only having tequila, I wouldn't want to suggest to my brain-target that Arnold was of me gente.. So wine then. Very red. Gentle melancholy rather than vengeful rant. And three years of it, so I should probably buy in quantity. And I think it's less fattening...

Assembly Dial achieves sub-second cycle times.
Configurable for 4–16 stations, Servochassis™ incorporates direct-drive servo motors driving 2 independent axes. Replicating coordinated motion of mechanical cam dial, tooling for all stations is mounted on dial top plate and is raised and lowered simultaneously along single z-axis. Individual tooling operations are driven by pneumatics at each station and controlled by PLC or PC-based controller. Servochassis can be reprogrammed to accommodate tooling changes.
