Blake has been with MelbourneIT for a number of years (Google shows him attending some ICANN junkets) and seems to be an internal appointment. Last week we sent out the first GollyGee Blocks® version 1.5.0 CDs. New in version 1.5 from the version 1.4 CD are: Snapshots saved as JPEGs. The JPEG format creates much smaller files than BMPs and are easily added to web pages. Mac OS X Native Version. Sunday—as has always been the case—is the most unproductive day of the week. I lazed around almost the entire day.Having said that, what is productive and what is not depends on your perspective. Today I was productive in another way: I rewrote my websites's Newsletter module in PHP. Actually, it was incumbent upon me to do so. When I had written the Newsletter module (in Perl), I had little idea of how many would subscribe to it, so I did not use a database for the mailing list. Believe me! In retrospect, it was foolish of me not to use a database, irrespective of the number of subscribers I had expected. Anyways, since I use a MySQL database, PHP was the obvious choice. I have yet to ratify whether it's working fine.
